The beach is located about 14 kilometers west of Skiathos Town (Chora), very close to the famous Koukounaries beach, making it easily accessible from most accommodations on the island. We recommend several options to get there:

By Bus

The Skiathos bus system is very efficient and connects the main town with the main beaches of Skiathos along the south and west coasts. You should take the bus from stop 0 (in Skiathos Town) and get off at stop number 26, which is for Koukounaries. From there, Playa de Agia Eleni is a short 10-15 minute walk away, following a paved road and then a well-marked path. It's an economical and eco-friendly option.

By Car, Scooter, or Quad

Renting a vehicle is one of the most comfortable ways to explore the island and get to Agia Eleni at your own pace. There are several rental agencies in Skiathos Town and other tourist spots. The road to the beach is well-paved and the journey offers picturesque views of the island landscape. There is a free parking area right behind the beach, which makes visiting very easy. It's the option we usually choose for total freedom.

By Taxi

For those seeking greater comfort and who don't want to worry about parking, a taxi is an excellent alternative. Taxis are available in Skiathos Town and the main tourist areas. The cost is reasonable, especially if shared, and the journey is quick and direct.

The Sand and Water

When we talk about Playa de Agia Eleni, we cannot fail to highlight the quality of its sand and the purity of its waters. The beach is characterized by its fine, golden sand, which is soft to the touch and perfect for lying down and relaxing. It's sand that doesn't get excessively hot, making it very pleasant even during the midday hours. • Sunbeds and Umbrellas: Most of the beach is equipped with rows of comfortable sunbeds and straw umbrellas that can be rented for a reasonable price. It's ideal for those seeking shade and a comfortable spot to spend the day.
• Chiringuitos: There are at least a couple of lively chiringuitos right on the sand. These establishments are the social heart of the beach, offering everything from refreshing drinks and tropical cocktails to delicious snacks and light meals. Many of them stay open after sunset, creating a festive atmosphere with music and lights.
• Parking: As we already mentioned, the beach has a free and fairly spacious parking area, which is a great advantage on an island where parking can be a challenge in high season.
• Showers and Toilets/WC: For our comfort, the beach has showers to rinse off sand and salt after a swim, as well as clean and accessible Toilets/WC, a detail we always appreciate.
• Lifeguards: During the high season, the beach has lifeguards who watch over the safety of swimmers, adding an extra layer of peace of mind, especially if we are traveling with children.
