How to Get to Playa Cayo Jutías

Getting to Playa Cayo Jutías is part of the adventure and, although it may seem a bit remote, the trip is well worth it. The beach is located at the end of a long and picturesque causeway, a road built over the sea that connects the key to the mainland. This journey, about 50 kilometers from the main highway, offers us spectacular views of the mangroves and the Caribbean Sea, which already prepares us for the spectacle that awaits.

From Pinar del Río and Viñales

The most common way to access Cayo Jutías is by car. If we come from the city of Pinar del Río, the journey takes approximately two hours. However, many travelers opt for a day trip from the famous Viñales Valley, which is about two and a half hours away. From Viñales, take the road heading north towards Mina La Descarga and then follow the signs to the key. It is advisable to go in a vehicle in good condition, as the road, although paved, may have uneven sections.
