The trip to Playa Chen Río will take us approximately 30 to 40 minutes, depending on the starting point in San Miguel. The road crossing the island from east to west is well-paved and safe. Once we reach the east coast, we will turn south and follow the coastal road, which is simply spectacular. With the wind in our face and the Caribbean Sea on our right, every kilometer is a postcard. Panoramic views, rocky cliffs, and the intense blue of the ocean will accompany us to our destination.

Taxi

For those who prefer not to drive, taxis are a convenient option. In San Miguel, we will find taxi stands on almost every corner and at the ferry port. It's important to agree on the price with the driver before starting the trip, as the meter is not always used outside the city. Although it can be a bit more expensive than renting, the comfort of being taken directly to the beach and the possibility of coordinating a pickup time make the taxi a viable alternative, especially if we are traveling in a group and can split the costs.

Bicycle

For the more adventurous and physically fit, getting there by bicycle can be a rewarding experience. However, we must consider that the journey is long and it can be hot, especially during the middle of the day. Let's make sure to bring enough water and sunscreen. The path is relatively flat, but the distance requires a good level of endurance. This option allows us to enjoy the island's nature in a more intimate and ecological way.
