How to Get to Playa Los Muertos

Getting to Playa Los Muertos is surprisingly simple, given its privileged location in the center of Puerto Vallarta. If you are in the city center, you can get there by walking leisurely along the famous Malecón, enjoying the sculptures and atmosphere until the southern end, where the beach begins, just after the Río Cuale. It's a charming walk that won't take you more than 15-20 minutes from the heart of the Malecón.

For those coming from more distant areas, like the Hotel Zone or the Marina, the options are varied:

• Taxi or Uber/DiDi: They are convenient and fast methods. Simply ask to be dropped off near the Los Muertos Pier, which is the most well-known landmark.
• City bus: Puerto Vallarta has an efficient bus system. Look for routes that say 'Centro' or 'Olas Altas' and they will drop you off a few blocks from the beach. It's an economical option and lets you experience the local life.
• Private or rental car: There are several public and private parking lots on the streets surrounding the beach, although during high season it can be a challenge to find a free spot. We recommend arriving early if you choose this option.
