For those traveling from the state capital, the city of Colima, the journey is approximately one and a half to two hours by car. The most common route is to take the Colima-Manzanillo highway (Mexico 200), a modern and efficient road offering stunning landscapes. Once you reach Manzanillo, the aforementioned directions will take you directly to the beach. For international or national travelers arriving by plane, Manzanillo International Airport (ZLO) is the most convenient gateway. From the airport, you can take a taxi, a private transportation service, or rent a car to get to Playa La Boquita, which is about 40 minutes away. We always advise renting a vehicle if you plan to explore the surroundings, as it gives you greater freedom and flexibility to move around the Colima beaches and nearby attractions.
