From the capital, Valletta, or from tourist areas like Sliema and St. Julian's, there are several direct lines that will drop you right at the bay or very close to it. It's a fantastic way to see some of the Maltese landscape on your way to your beach destination.

If you prefer comfort and flexibility, renting a car is another excellent alternative. The journey from Malta International Airport (MLA) to Mellieħa takes about 45 minutes. Once in the area, you'll find several parking options along the main road that runs alongside the beach. It's true that in high season, especially on weekends in July and August, parking can be a challenge, but with a little patience, we always find a spot. For us, the freedom of a car allows us to explore the surroundings of Mellieħa and other Mellieħa beaches with greater ease, making the visit to Għadira part of a larger adventure in the north of the island.

Furthermore, parking is plentiful, although as mentioned, it can fill up in high season. Along the bay, a large number of beach bars (chiringuitos) and restaurants offer everything from ice creams and cold drinks to full meals with Maltese and international flavors. There's no need to bring your own food if you don't want to, as the options are varied and delicious. For the more active, water sports equipment rental centers abound, and there is a designated sports area, as well as a children's play area for the little ones. It's a beach that truly has everything thought out for the enjoyment of its visitors.
