How to Get to Daħlet Qorrot Beach

Getting to Daħlet Qorrot Beach is part of its 'hidden' charm. Located on the northeast coast of Gozo, a couple of kilometers from In-Nadur, the best way to access this corner is by car or motorcycle, giving us the freedom to explore.

By Car or Motorcycle

From the Mġarr ferry, the journey to In-Nadur and then to Daħlet Qorrot takes about 15-20 minutes. The roads are narrow; you must follow the signs towards In-Nadur and then towards the east coast. There is a small free dirt parking area just before descending to the cove. It is advisable to drive with caution.

Public Transport and on Foot

Public transport in Gozo is limited for this cove. Bus 303 reaches In-Nadur, from where it would be a 25-30 minute downhill walk. A taxi from In-Nadur is another option. For hikers, the route from In-Nadur or San Blas Bay offers spectacular views, ideal in spring or autumn for an active experience towards this beach in In-Nadur (Gozo).

The Sand and Water

Daħlet Qorrot Beach is not golden sand. Its surface is composed of pebbles and small stones, with rocky platforms gently extending into the sea. For us, this characteristic is part of its uniqueness, giving it a wilder character. There is a free dirt parking area right at the top of the cove, facilitating access. The access road can be steep. It is essential to know that there is no lifeguard service, so water safety is personal. Access to the cove involves an irregular descent and steps, making it unsuitable for people with reduced mobility. For us, this reinforces its character as a 'hideaway' among the beaches of In-Nadur (Gozo).

For us, spring is ideal. Pleasant temperatures (20-28°C), generous sun, and water suitable for bathing from late May. The Gozitan landscape is in bloom and crowds are smaller. Autumn is another favorite: temperatures drop gently (25-30°C) and the sea retains its warmth. Fewer tourists than in summer, perfect for combining beach and outdoor activities. Sunsets are spectacular.

Summer (July-August) and Winter (November-March)

Summer is high season with temperatures above 30°C and warm water. The cove attracts more locals. It is ideal if you seek intense heat and a lively atmosphere. In winter, the cove takes on a wild character (10-18°C), perfect for walks and photography, although swimming is for the bravest. It is a time of inspiring solitude.
