How to Get to Playa de Pachia Ammos

Getting to Playa de Pachia Ammos is relatively straightforward, which adds a point in its favor for those seeking accessibility without sacrificing tranquility. It is located about 6-7 kilometers south of Tinos Town (Chora), the island's capital and main port. We always recommend renting a car or a scooter upon arrival in Tinos, as this provides the freedom and flexibility needed to explore the island at our own pace and discover its many hidden charms, including this wonderful beach.

By Car or Scooter

From Chora, we must take the main road heading south, following signs to beaches like Agios Sostis or Agios Ioannis. After passing these more popular and touristy beaches, the road will take us through a typically Cycladic landscape, with small whitewashed chapels and dry-stone walls. There is signage for Pachia Ammos, although it can sometimes be discreet. The journey takes about 10-15 minutes and is very pleasant. We will find space to park the vehicle along the road that borders the beach or in some small improvised clearing, as there is no organized parking lot as such. This underscores the more natural and less commercial character of the beach.

By Public Bus

The KTEL bus system of Tinos connects Chora with various villages and beaches on the island. However, routes and frequencies can vary, especially outside the high season.
