How to Get to Playa de Tripiti

Getting to Playa de Tripiti is an exciting part of the adventure that is visiting Thassos. First, the island is mainly accessible by ferry from the port of Keramoti or Kavala on the Greek mainland. If traveling from Keramoti, the ferry ride is shorter and usually takes about 40 minutes to Limenas, the capital of Thassos. From Kavala, the journey is a bit longer, generally arriving at the port of Prinos.

Once on the island, the best way to get to Tripiti is by car. We always recommend renting one at Kavala airport or directly at the ports of Thassos. This will give you the freedom to explore not only Tripiti but also all the wonders the island has to offer. The beach is a short distance from the popular villages of Limenaria and Potos, on the main road that circles the island. There is clear signage, and access to the beach is easy, with ample parking space available, which is a great advantage in high season. There are also public transport options, with buses connecting the island's main villages, but frequencies can be limited, so the car remains our preferred option for greater comfort and flexibility.
