How to Get to Playa de Kalogria

Getting to Playa de Kalogria is part of the adventure and, fortunately, quite straightforward. The beach is located in the Mani region, near the charming town of Stoupa, on the Peloponnese peninsula. If we're coming from abroad, the nearest airport is Kalamata International Airport (KLX), which is about an hour's drive away. From there, we can rent a vehicle, which is highly recommended to explore the region at our own pace and discover the many Greece beaches that dot the coast.

If we're starting from Athens, the drive takes about 3 to 3.5 hours, passing through stunning landscapes that prepare us for the beauty of Mani. Once we reach Stoupa, Playa de Kalogria is a short drive or even a walk away, depending on where we're staying. The road is well-signposted and access is easy, with parking options nearby, although it can be a bit busier during peak season. For us, the coastal road leading to Kalogria is a spectacle in itself, with panoramic views that invite us to stop and admire the Ionian Sea.

The Sand and Water
