How to Get to Playa de Aliveri

If we start from Athens, the capital, traveling by car is undoubtedly the most comfortable and picturesque option. It will take approximately an hour and a half to two hours, depending on traffic. The route takes us north, crossing the famous Chalkida bridge, which connects mainland Greece with the island of Evia. From Chalkida, the provincial capital, we continue southeast on a well-signposted road that will take us directly to Aliveri. The journey is pleasant, with changing views of the Greek landscape, from mountainous areas to fertile valleys.

For those who prefer public transport, there are regular buses connecting Athens (from the Kifissos bus station) with Chalkida, and from there, other local buses can take us close to Aliveri. Although the bus offers us the chance to relax and enjoy the scenery without worrying about driving, a car gives us the flexibility to explore the surroundings of Playa de Aliveri and the hidden charms of Evia at our own pace.
