From the moment we set foot on its sand, we know we have arrived at a special place. How to Get to Trani Ammouda Beach

Getting to Trani Ammouda Beach is relatively easy, especially if we travel by car, which is the option we always recommend for exploring Chalkidiki at our own pace. The beach is very close to Ormos Panagias, a charming fishing port that serves as a starting point for many boat trips, including those to Mount Athos. From Ormos Panagias, the journey to the beach is just a few minutes by car, following the local signs which are quite well marked.

By Car

If we are coming from Thessaloniki, the main city in northern Greece and where the nearest airport is located, the drive to Trani Ammouda Beach will take approximately an hour and a half. We must take the road heading towards Chalkidiki (Halkidiki) and, once on the Sithonia peninsula, follow the signs to Nikiti and then to Ormos Panagias. The road infrastructure is good, making the journey comfortable and enjoyable, with landscapes that already begin to hint at the beauty of the coast. There is a large free parking lot right behind the beach, which is a great advantage, especially in high season when other Greece beaches may have parking issues.

By Public Transport

Although it is possible to reach Chalkidiki by bus from Thessaloniki, public transport within the peninsula is not as frequent or as comfortable as having your own or a rental car. There are bus lines connecting Thessaloniki with main towns like Nikiti, but from there we would have to find a taxi or walk a considerable distance to the beach. For this reason, to fully enjoy the flexibility and freedom the region offers, our recommendation is always to rent a vehicle. It will allow us to discover not only Trani Ammouda Beach but also other hidden coves and villages of Chalkidiki.
