The island is mainly accessible by ferry or catamaran from mainland ports like Volos or from other Sporades islands, such as Skiathos and Skopelos. Once in Patitiri, the main port of Alonissos, we have several options to get to Votsi, which is located very close by:

From Patitiri

• On foot: For those who enjoy a walk, the beach is about a 15-20 minute walk from Patitiri. It's a pleasant path with sea views.
• By car or scooter: Renting a vehicle is an excellent option for exploring the island and comfortably reaching Votsi. The journey takes just 5 minutes, and there are informal parking options near the beach.
• Local bus: During the high season, there are buses connecting Patitiri with nearby villages and some beaches, including Votsi. It's an economical and practical option.
• Taxi: Taxis are always available at the port of Patitiri, which will take us to Votsi in the blink of an eye.

The Sand and Water

Playa de Votsi is characterized by its unique combination of small pebbles and coarse sand, giving it a rustic and very natural charm. Don't expect the typical fine, golden sand here; instead, you'll find a mix of white and gray tones that contrast wonderfully with the deep blue of the Aegean Sea. • Spring (May-June): For us, this is one of the best times. The weather is mild, the island is in full bloom, and crowds are minimal. The water temperatures are already pleasant for swimming, and accommodation and flight prices are usually more economical. It's ideal for those seeking tranquility and connection with nature.
• Summer (July-August): This is the high season. The island comes alive, with more activity, events, and entertainment options. The climate is warm and sunny, perfect for the beach. However, it's also when there are the most people and prices are higher. If we're looking for a livelier atmosphere, this is the time.
• Autumn (September-October): Similar to spring, autumn offers pleasant temperatures, warm waters, and a more relaxed atmosphere after the summer bustle. Crowds diminish, but most services remain open. It's an excellent option for pa
