How to Get to Playa de Piles

Getting to Playa de Piles is relatively straightforward, given its good connection with the main transport routes in the province of Valencia. We always recommend planning the trip in advance, although the route is usually quite direct.

By Car

For many, the car is the most comfortable option. If you're coming from Valencia city, you can take the AP-7 heading south and take exit 60 (Gandia/Oliva/Pego). From there, the N-332 will guide you towards Piles. The beach is very well signposted once you reach the municipality. There are parking areas nearby, both free and paid during the high season, which facilitates access right by the beach. From Alicante or the south, access is similar via the AP-7 or the N-332 heading north.

By Public Transport

Although Piles is a small municipality, it has public transport options. The nearest train station is in Gandia, which has an excellent connection with Valencia city via the C-1 Cercanías line. Once in Gandia, you can take an intercity bus that will take you directly to Piles. Bus lines are usually quite frequent during the high season, although it's always a good idea to check the updated schedules. It's a very practical option if you prefer not to worry about parking.

From the Airport

If you arrive by plane at Valencia Airport (VLC), the best option is to rent a car for greater freedom, which will allow you to reach Piles in approximately one hour. Alternatively, you can take the metro from the airport to Valencia's Estación del Norte, and from there, the Cercanías train to Gandia, then catch the bus to Piles. It's a bit longer, but perfectly feasible.

For us, June and the first half of July offer a good balance between good weather and a more moderate influx of people.
