How to Get to Playa de Almardá

By Car

For most visitors, the car is the most practical option. The beach is well connected by road. If you are coming from Valencia, you can take the V-21 and then the N-340 or the AP-7 (toll road) towards Sagunto. From Castellón, the route is equally direct via the AP-7 or the N-340. Once in Sagunto or Puerto de Sagunto, the signage to Playa de Almardá is clear. Around the beach, you will find parking areas that, although they can fill up in the summer months, usually offer enough space. Some of these parking lots are free, while others may be paid, especially those closest to the beach bars and service areas. It is advisable to arrive early to secure a good spot.

By Public Transport

Although the car offers more flexibility, it is also possible to get there by public transport. From Sagunto and Puerto de Sagunto, there are local bus lines that connect to the beach area, especially during the summer season. If you are coming from Valencia city, you will first need to take a commuter train (line C-6) or an intercity bus to Sagunto or Puerto de Sagunto, and from there connect with the local lines that take you to the coast. If you are looking for atmosphere and the comfort of having everything at hand, summer is your choice. However, be prepared to share the space with more people and, perhaps, to look for parking with a little more patience. For us, the vitality of summer in Almardá is contagious.

Spring (April - May) and Autumn (October - November)

These are, for us, the secret seasons of Playa de Almardá. The climate remains very pleasant, with mild temperatures that invite walks along the shore, sunbathing, and even taking a dip if you are brave. The influx of people is considerably lower, allowing you to enjoy the beach with exceptional tranquility. It is the ideal time for lovers of relaxation, reading, or simply contemplating the beauty of the landscape without crowds. Many of the beach bars may be open, especially on weekends. The sunsets during these times are spectacular and the light is perfect for photography. We often choose these seasons for our getaways, seeking that peace that summer sometimes makes difficult.

Winter (December - March)

Although swimming may not be the main activity, winter at Playa de Almardá has its own charm. The temperatures are cool but often sunny, perfect for long walks along the shore, collecting shells, or simply enjoying the sea breeze. The beach becomes a place of introspection and connection with nature, almost deserted. It is the time for photographers, solitary walkers, and those seeking a break from the daily hustle and bustle. On some days, with the sun, it is even possible to enjoy a picnic on the sand. We always find something magical in the winter beach, a different landscape that reminds us of the constant beauty of our coastline.
