How to get to Playa del Racó

Getting to Playa del Racó is really simple, which adds to its appeal, especially if we are traveling with children or a lot of luggage. La Pineda is very well connected, making access easy from different points in Spain and internationally.

By car

If we choose the car, which is the most comfortable option for many, the beach is very close to the A-7 highway and the AP-7 motorway. From the city of Tarragona, the journey is just 15-20 minutes. From Barcelona, calculate approximately one hour and twenty minutes, depending on traffic. Once in La Pineda, the beach is perfectly signposted. We find parking areas, both free (though more limited in high season) and paid, in the vicinity, allowing us to park without major complications and have direct access to the sand.

By public transport

For those who prefer public transport, there are also good options. From Tarragona and Salou, there are regular bus lines that connect directly to La Pineda. The nearest train station is PortAventura, although Tarragona is the main one and from there you can take a bus or taxi. During the summer months, the frequency of these services increases considerably, making getting around the area very easy. We always recommend checking the updated schedules, especially if traveling outside the high season.
