How to Get to Playa de Roda de Berà

Getting to Playa de Roda de Berà is relatively straightforward, given its excellent location and good transport connections on the Costa Dorada. We always recommend planning the trip in advance, especially if visiting during peak season, to ensure a hassle-free arrival.

By Car

Undoubtedly, the most comfortable and flexible option for most people is by car. Playa de Roda de Berà is very well connected by road:

• From Barcelona: We can take the AP-7 heading south and then turn off onto the N-340 or A-7 towards Tarragona. The exits for Roda de Berà are well signposted. The journey usually takes about an hour, depending on traffic.
• From Tarragona: Access is even quicker, taking the N-340 or A-7 heading north. In about 20-30 minutes we'll be at our destination.
• From Valencia: Via the AP-7 heading north, with a journey of around two and a half hours.

By Train

For those who prefer public transport, the train is an excellent alternative. Roda de Berà has its own train station, 'Roda de Barà', served by trains on the R2 Sud line of Rodalies de Catalunya. This line connects directly with Barcelona (Estació de França, Passeig de Gràcia, Sants) and with Tarragona. From the train station to the beach, we can take a taxi or, during peak season, there are usually local bus services connecting the town center with the beach area. It's an eco-friendly option that allows us to forget about the car and parking.

By Bus

There are intercity bus lines connecting Roda de Berà with nearby towns and the city of Tarragona. The PLANA company is one of the main operators in the area. Once in the center of Roda de Berà, we might need another local bus or a taxi to get directly to the beach, although in many cases the bus stops are conveniently located.
