How to Get to Playa de las Delicias

Getting to Playa de las Delicias is really simple, which adds to its appeal, especially if we are traveling with children or a lot of luggage. Its location in the very urban center of La Ràpita greatly facilitates access, whether by car or on foot if we are staying in the municipality.

By Car

If we are coming from other parts of Catalonia or the Peninsula, the most comfortable way is usually by car. We can take the AP-7 motorway (Autopista del Mediterráneo) and exit at exit 41 (Amposta/Sant Carles de la Ràpita), or use the national road N-340, which runs parallel to the coast. Once in La Ràpita, the beach is well signposted and easy to find, as it stretches along the promenade.

Regarding parking, being an urban beach, we have the advantage of several options. There are regulated parking zones on the streets adjacent to the promenade, as well as some public car parks, both paid and free, a short distance away. We always recommend arriving early, especially in the summer months, to secure a good spot and avoid driving around too much.

By Public Transport

Although the car is the preferred option for many, it is also possible to arrive by public transport. La Ràpita has a bus station that connects with other towns in the province of Tarragona and with cities like Barcelona or Valencia. From the station, Playa de las Delicias is a distance that we can comfortably cover on foot in a few minutes, already enjoying the town's maritime atmosphere.

The Sand and Water

Safety is a priority, and therefore the beach has lifeguard services during the bathing season, with qualified personnel monitoring and attending to any emergency. This gives us great peace of mind, especially when visiting the beach with children.
