How to Get to Playa de Vilariño

Getting to Playa de Vilariño is relatively easy, which adds to its appeal. If we're coming from Bueu, the journey is short and well-signposted. We can take the PO-315 road towards Beluso and then follow the signs to the beach. The route offers very pleasant coastal landscapes that prepare us for what awaits.

By Car

The car is, without a doubt, the most comfortable option for most visitors. The beach has nearby parking areas, although they can fill up quickly during high season, so we recommend arriving early. From Pontevedra, the trip takes approximately 30-40 minutes, and from Vigo, about 45-50 minutes, always on roads that allow us to enjoy the surroundings. We like the ease of access, which allows families and people with reduced mobility to get there without major complications.

By Public Transport

Although less direct, it's possible to reach Bueu by bus from nearby cities like Pontevedra or Vigo. Once in Bueu, we could opt for a taxi or, if we feel like a walk, walk to the beach, although it's worth considering that it's on the outskirts of the urban center. For us, the autonomy of the car is a plus for exploring not only Playa de Vilariño, but also the charms of the surrounding area.

The Sand and the Water

The main characteristic of Playa de Vilariño is, certainly, its fine, golden sand. It's a delight to walk barefoot on it, to feel it slip between our toes. This sand, of granitic origin, is soft and very pleasant, perfect for laying out a towel and enjoying the sun or for the little ones to play building sandcastles. The cleanliness of the sand is notable, a reflection of the care dedicated to this beach.

As for the water, we find exceptional conditions. The waters of Playa de Vilariño are calm, of a greenish-blue that invites swimming and relaxation. Being in a sheltered cove, the current is minimal, making it very safe for children and less experienced swimmers.
