From the Center of Baiona

If you are already in Baiona, you can reach Playa de Barbeira on foot. It is located right next to the marina and the historic quarter, so a pleasant walk of a few minutes will take you directly to the sand. It is a highly recommended walk, as it will allow you to enjoy the town's atmosphere, its cobbled streets, and its flower-filled balconies.

By Car

For those coming from outside, Baiona is easily accessible by road. From Vigo, for example, the distance is approximately 20-25 kilometers and you can take the AG-57 highway or the PO-552 road. Once in Baiona, you will find signs towards the port and the fortress. Playa de Barbeira is located in that same area.

Parking

Regarding parking, being an urban and central beach, there are several options. There are paid parking zones (blue zone) on the streets surrounding the port and the center. You can also find underground parking lots. During the high season, especially in the summer months, it can be a bit more difficult to find a spot, so we recommend arriving early or considering using public transport if possible.
