How to get to Playa del Cavanna

Getting to Playa del Cavanna is relatively easy, as it is located in a well-connected area of La Manga del Mar Menor. We always advise planning the trip in advance, especially if visiting during high season, to avoid setbacks.

By car

The car is, for us, the most comfortable and flexible option to get to Playa del Cavanna. From Cartagena, take the RM-12 highway, which connects directly to La Manga. Once in La Manga, the beach is located in the central part, on the Mar Menor side, between the areas of El Galán and El Zoco. The advantage of going by car is that it allows us to explore the surroundings with total freedom. There are parking areas, both public and private, nearby, although in the middle of August it can be a challenge to find a free spot near the sand. Our advice is to arrive early to secure a good spot.

By bus

For those who prefer not to drive, public transport is an excellent alternative. The bus line connecting Cartagena with La Manga del Mar Menor (usually operated by ALSA or similar) has several stops along the strip. There are stops relatively close to Playa del Cavanna, making it accessible for those coming from the city or other nearby towns. It's an economical and sustainable option, ideal for not worrying about parking and enjoying the scenery during the journey.

Other means

If we are already staying in La Manga, we can get to the beach comfortably on foot or by bicycle. La Manga has a bike lane that runs along much of its length, which facilitates access to the different beaches. Furthermore, during high season, taxi and VTC services usually operate that can take us directly to our destination. We highly value the possibility of taking a morning walk to the beach, enjoying the fresh air and the views.

The sand and the water

Furthermore, the depth increases very gradually, allowing the little ones to play safely at the water's edge, under our supervision, of course. The waters are warm, especially in the summer months, which extends swimming sessions and makes them a delight.
