How to get to Playa de Las Salinas

Getting to Playa de Las Salinas is relatively straightforward, although we recommend using a car for greater comfort, especially if we are coming from outside San Pedro del Pinatar. The beach is located south of the port of San Pedro and north of the Lo Pagán area, well signposted within the Regional Park of the Salinas and Arenales.

By car

If we are coming from the city of Murcia, we will take the A-30 motorway towards Cartagena and then the AP-7 towards Alicante, taking exit 774 towards San Pedro del Pinatar. Once in the municipality, we will follow the signs to the Regional Park and the Las Salinas beaches. There are designated parking areas near the beach access, which makes the visit much easier, although in high season they can fill up quickly, so we recommend arriving early.

By public transport

Although there is no bus line that drops us off directly on the sand of Playa de Las Salinas, we can take a bus to San Pedro del Pinatar or Lo Pagán from cities like Murcia or Cartagena. From there, a pleasant walk or bike ride, or even a short taxi ride, will bring us closer to this natural paradise. It is a more ecological option and allows us to enjoy the surrounding landscape even more before reaching our final destination.

The sand and the water

When we talk about Playa de Las Salinas, we must immediately highlight the quality of its sand and the characteristics of its waters. The sand here is fine and of a light golden hue, very pleasant to the touch and perfect for building sandcastles with the little ones or simply for lying down and relaxing in the sun. Walking barefoot on it is a true delight, and its expanse allows us to always find a quiet corner, even on busier days.

It is important to remember that, as it is a protected environment, the services are in line with the conservation philosophy of the place, prioritizing sustainability and respect for the environment.

Among the services we can find, we highlight the presence of Parking near the beach access. Although it is not a massive parking lot, it offers enough spaces for most days, facilitating access for those traveling by private vehicle. We also have Showers to remove salt and sand after a refreshing swim, a detail that is always appreciated.

During the bathing season, safety is a priority, so we have a Lifeguard service. The lifeguards are attentive to ensure the peace of mind of bathers and act in case of any incident, which gives us great confidence, especially if we are with children. Although the beach itself is a natural space, in the areas closest to Lo Pagán and the marina of San Pedro del Pinatar, we can find some Chiringuitos where we can enjoy a refreshing drink, an ice cream, or even a light meal with sea views. These establishments, although not directly on the more pristine sand of Las Salinas, complement the offer and allow us to extend our beach day with all the comforts. It is a beach that, although it does not fly the Blue Flag, offers a quality experience thanks to its environment and the essential services that complement it.
