How to get to Playa de la Pava

Getting to Playa de la Pava is relatively straightforward, although its more secluded nature may require a little planning, especially if it's your first visit. The beach is located in the municipality of Mazarrón, in the province of Murcia, and is well connected to the region's main roads.

By car

For us, the most comfortable and flexible option to get to Playa de la Pava is undoubtedly by car. From the city of Murcia, the journey takes approximately 45-50 minutes, following the A-30 motorway towards Cartagena and then taking the exit towards Mazarrón via the RM-3. Once in Mazarrón or Puerto de Mazarrón, the beach is signposted, although sometimes the signs can be subtle. We recommend using a GPS or a maps app to guide you precisely to the area. The beach is located east of Puerto de Mazarrón, in the direction of La Azohía. It is a cove often found among others like Playa de Nares or Playa del Castellar.

Parking

Being a moderately sized beach with a more natural character, the parking is not a large, structured car park like in more urban beaches. However, in the vicinity of Playa de la Pava, there are usually improvised parking areas or adjacent streets where we can leave our vehicle without too much difficulty, especially outside the high season. During the summer months, the influx is greater and finding a spot can be a bit more challenging, so we advise arriving early to secure a good place. Public transport
