How to Get to Playa de La Galúa

Getting to Playa de La Galúa is relatively straightforward, given its location in one of the most developed tourist areas of the Region of Murcia. La Manga del Mar Menor is well-connected, facilitating access both by private vehicle and public transport.

By Car

For us, the car is the most comfortable and versatile option to get to La Manga and, consequently, to Playa de La Galúa. From anywhere in Spain, the most common route is to take the AP-7 motorway, known as the Mediterranean Motorway. If you're coming from the north (Alicante, Valencia) or from the south (Cartagena, Almería), you should take the exit towards La Manga. Once on the RM-12, the La Manga motorway, continue straight until you enter the strip. Gran Vía de La Manga is the main artery that runs through the entire area, and Playa de La Galúa is located approximately at kilometer 5.5-6. There is clear signage and the beach is easily identifiable. Regarding parking, being an urban and tourist area, you will find parking on the streets adjacent to the beach, although in high season it can be a bit more difficult to find a spot, so we recommend going early.

By Bus

If you prefer public transport, it's also a good option. From the main cities of the Region of Murcia, such as Cartagena or Murcia capital, there are regular bus lines that will take you to La Manga. The LATBUS bus company operates several routes connecting these points with Gran Vía de La Manga. Once in La Manga, you can get off at one of the stops near Playa de La Galúa, which is well-served by stops along Gran Vía. It's an economical and sustainable option that allows you to forget about parking.

Other Means

For those staying in La Manga, the bicycle or simply taking a walk are excellent ways to get to the beach. La Manga has bike lanes and wide sidewalks that facilitate these trips. Furthermore, in high season, there is usually an internal bus service that runs along the entire Gran Vía, making frequent stops and facilitating movement between different points of the peninsula. Whatever your choice, Playa de La Galúa awaits you with open arms and enviable accessibility.
