How to Get to Playa del Rincón de la Victoria

Getting to Playa del Rincón de la Victoria is extremely easy, given its excellent connection with the capital and the rest of the province. We usually opt for the car, as it gives us more freedom to explore the area, but there are other very comfortable options.

By Car

If we are coming from Málaga city or from any point on the western Costa del Sol, the journey is direct via the A-7 motorway towards Motril/Almería. We must take exit 254 (Rincón de la Victoria/Benagalbón) and follow the signs to the urban center and the beach. The trip from Málaga city barely takes 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. For those coming from the Axarquía or Granada, the A-7 is also the main route, taking the corresponding exit.

Once in the municipality, the beach extends along the entire seafront. Finding parking can be a challenge during the busiest months (July and August), but there are public parking areas, both paid and free, on the streets adjacent to the promenade and some underground car parks. Our recommendation is to arrive early to secure a good spot, especially on summer weekends.

By Bus

For those who prefer public transport, the M-160 bus line (Málaga-Rincón de la Victoria-Cotomar) operated by the Empresa Malagueña de Transportes (EMT) and the Consorcio de Transporte Metropolitano del Área de Málaga offers a frequent service from the Málaga Bus Station and other points in the capital. It is a very comfortable and economical option, dropping us off directly on the Rincón de la Victoria promenade, just steps from the sand. There are also lines connecting with other nearby municipalities in the Axarquía.

The Sand and Water
