How to Get to Playa de Torre del Mar

Getting to Playa de Torre del Mar, in the municipality of Vélez-Málaga, is quite straightforward, making it a very accessible destination for any type of traveler. The province of Málaga is very well connected, and Torre del Mar benefits from this excellent infrastructure.

By Car

For us, the car is the most comfortable and flexible option to get to Playa de Torre del Mar. From Málaga city, the journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes via the A-7 motorway towards Motril/Almería. We must take exit 272 (Vélez-Málaga/Torre del Mar). Once in Torre del Mar, the signage to the beach and promenade is clear. There are several parking areas, both free and paid, although in high season it can be a challenge to find a spot near the beachfront. We recommend arriving early to secure a good spot.

By Bus

If we prefer not to drive, the bus is an excellent alternative. From the Málaga Bus Station, the ALSA company offers regular connections to Torre del Mar. The journey takes about an hour, depending on stops. It's an economical option and allows us to relax and enjoy the scenery without worrying about traffic or parking. Once at the Torre del Mar bus station, the beach is a short walk or taxi ride away.

By Plane

For those coming from farther away, Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) is the main entry point. From the airport, we can rent a car, take a local train to Málaga-María Zambrano Station and from there a bus to Torre del Mar, or a taxi/private transfer directly to our destination. The distance from the airport to Torre del Mar is about 45-50 kilometers.

The Sand and Water
