How to Get to Playa de Guadalmansa

Getting to Playa de Guadalmansa is relatively easy, especially if we are moving along the Costa del Sol. Its strategic location, halfway between Estepona and San Pedro de Alcántara (Marbella), makes it accessible both for those coming from inland and for those traveling along the coast. We always recommend planning the route in advance, although the signs are usually clear.

By Car

The most comfortable way to access Playa de Guadalmansa is, without a doubt, by car. If we are coming from Malaga city or the airport, we will take the A-7 motorway towards Algeciras. Once we pass Marbella and San Pedro de Alcántara, we must pay attention to the exits that lead us to the coastal developments of eastern Estepona. The beach is located at kilometer 162 of the A-7, near well-known developments like Marriott's Marbella Beach Resort or Cabo Bermejo. You need to take one of the exits that lead to the El Paraíso or Costalita area and from there follow the local signs to the beach. The journey from Estepona center is just 10-15 minutes by car, depending on traffic.

Parking

One of the advantages of Playa de Guadalmansa is that, unlike other more central beaches, it still offers parking options. In the vicinity of the beach, we often find areas designated for parking vehicles, some of them informally on the shoulders or in small vacant lots near the access points. During the high season, especially on weekends in July and August, these spaces can fill up quickly, so we advise arriving early to secure a good spot. The ease of parking contributes to that feeling of 'relaxation' we seek so much at this Estepona beach.

Public Transport

Although the car is the preferred option for most, it is also possible to reach Playa de Guadalmansa using public transport, albeit with certain limitations. The intercity bus lines connecting Estepona with Marbella usually have stops on the A-7 near the surrounding developments. From these stops, we will have to walk a short distance to reach the sand. It is important to check the schedules and exact stops in advance, as the frequency can vary depending on the time of year. For us, the autonomy of the car remains the best option for exploring this and other Malaga beaches with complete freedom.

Walking along the shore of Playa de Guadalmansa, we will notice how the texture varies, offering us a different sensory experience. The small pebbles polished by the sea are a delight for the feet and remind us of the authenticity of this stretch of coast. This mixture also contributes to the water remaining exceptionally clear, as the sand is not so easily suspended with the movement of the waves, allowing for notable visibility that invites underwater observation, even without snorkeling gear.
