Getting to Playa de Fuente de la Salud is quite straightforward, given its privileged location in the municipality of Benalmadena. We always recommend planning the route a little, although the options are varied and accessible.

By Car

If we come by car, the A-7 motorway is the main artery connecting us to Benalmadena. Once we take the exit towards Benalmadena Costa, the signs will easily guide us towards the marina and beach area. Playa de Fuente de la Salud is located very close to Puerto Marina, which makes it easy to find. Regarding parking, it's an urban beach, so we'll find paid public parking options nearby, as well as some regulated parking zones (blue zone) that, although they can be a challenge in high season, are our best option for leaving the vehicle.

By Public Transport

• Bus: Benalmadena has an excellent network of urban and intercity buses. The L-1 and L-2 lines of Benalmadena usually have stops near the beach area. If we're coming from Malaga city or other nearby municipalities, the intercity buses of the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Malaga Area (M-110 Malaga-Benalmadena Costa, M-120 Torremolinos-Fuengirola) will drop us off a short walk from the beach.
• Commuter Train: The C-1 line of Renfe Cercanías is, without a doubt, one of the most comfortable and fastest ways to get to Benalmadena from Malaga or Fuengirola. The Arroyo de la Miel station is about a 20-25 minute walk from the beach, or we can take an urban bus or taxi from there. It's an option we highly value for its efficiency and for avoiding parking problems.

The Sand and Water

When we talk about Playa de Fuente de la Salud, it's impossible not to highlight its natural characteristics. The sand here is of a mixed type, with a darker tone than we might expect on other beaches, and with a mix of fine grain and some gravel that gives it a particular texture.
