How to Get to Playa de Calaceite

By Private Car

This is undoubtedly the most comfortable way for most visitors, especially if you're loaded with umbrellas, coolers, and all your beach gear. From the A-7 motorway, you must take the exit towards Torrox or El Morche. The beach is located on the old N-340 road, between Torrox Costa and Nerja. There is signage that will guide you to the area. The main challenge can be parking, especially during the summer months. We have found that there are some designated parking areas, although they are often limited and fill up quickly. Our recommendation is to arrive early to secure a good spot. There are also some nearby streets where you can park, but always respecting private property and traffic signs.

By Public Transport

If you prefer not to drive, the bus is an excellent alternative. The intercity bus lines connecting Malaga city with Nerja, passing through Torrox Costa and El Morche, usually have stops nearby. You should check the schedules of the Alsa company, which is the main operator in the area. Once you get off at the nearest stop, probably on the N-340, you will have to walk a short distance to the sand. It's an eco-friendly option and allows you to enjoy the scenery without worries.

On Foot or by Bicycle

For the more active or those staying in the vicinity of Torrox Costa, getting to Playa de Calaceite on foot or by bicycle is a delightful experience. The Torrox promenade extends quite far, and although Calaceite is a bit further from the central area of Torrox Costa, it's a pleasant journey. The sea views along the way are spectacular and will allow you to discover other corners of the coast. We often choose this option to fully enjoy the fresh air and the landscape.
