How to Get to Playa de Peizás

Getting to Playa de Peizás is relatively straightforward, which is always a plus. It's located in the municipality of Foz, in the province of Lugo, in the heart of the Mariña Lucense. The most comfortable way to access it is by car, as it allows for greater flexibility to explore the surrounding area as well. From the center of Foz, the journey is short, just a few minutes.

By Car

To get there by car, we can take the N-642 road that runs along the Lugo coast. Playa de Peizás is well signposted once we approach Foz. There are parking areas nearby, although they can fill up quickly during the high season, so we recommend arriving early. The advantage of the car is that it allows us to bring all the necessary gear for a beach day and makes excursions to other nearby points of interest easier.

Public Transport

While a car is the most recommended option, there are also some public transport options. There are bus lines connecting Foz with other towns in the province. Once in Foz, we could consider a taxi or a walk if our accommodation is nearby, although the beach is not right in the center of the village. Undoubtedly, the summer months are the most popular and, for many, the best time to fully enjoy the beach. From June to September, temperatures are more pleasant, days are longer, and the chances of sunshine are much higher. It's when the Cantabrian Sea is at its most welcoming, ideal for swimming. Furthermore, all the beach services, like lifeguards, are operational. That said, it's also the time of highest attendance, especially in August, so if we're looking for maximum tranquility, we might want to opt for June or early July.
