By Car

If we are coming from other provinces, the most direct way is via the A-7 motorway, known as the Mediterranean Motorway. We must take the exit towards Motril and, once in the municipality, follow the signs to the beaches. Playa de El Cable is well signposted and is part of the Motril coastline. It is a beach with easy car access, and we generally find parking options nearby, either in designated areas or on the streets adjacent to the promenade. However, during the high season months, like July and August, parking can be more challenging, so we always advise arriving early to secure a good spot. The route is scenic, offering us views of the subtropical crops typical of the area and, of course, of the sea that awaits us.

By Public Transport

Motril has an urban bus service that connects the city center with its beaches. If we are staying in the urban center or arrive in Motril by intercity bus, we can take one of these lines that will drop us off just a few meters from the Playa de El Cable promenade. It is a comfortable and economical option, allowing us to forget about the car and enjoy a relaxed walk to the sand. The stops are usually well indicated, and the frequency of the buses is adequate during the summer season.
