How to Get to Playa de Mogán

Getting to Playa de Mogán is relatively straightforward, which contributes to its popularity among locals and tourists. If you're coming from Gran Canaria Airport (GCLP), the drive usually takes about 45-50 minutes, following the GC-1 south. The roads are in excellent condition and offer spectacular views of the island's volcanic landscape. We always recommend renting a car for total freedom of movement and to explore the surroundings at your own pace. Several car rental companies are available at the airport.

For those who prefer public transport, the Global bus network (guaguas) connects Mogán with the island's main towns, including Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Maspalomas, and the airport. Bus stops are usually conveniently located near the port and the beach, facilitating access. Taxis are also a comfortable option, though more expensive, especially if traveling in a group or with a lot of luggage. Once at Puerto de Mogán, the beach is just a few steps away, and access is very easy, even for people with reduced mobility. As for parking, there are designated areas around the port, although in high season they can fill up quickly, so it's advisable to arrive early.

The Sand and Water

One of the biggest attractions of Playa de Mogán is undoubtedly its sand and water. The sand is a beautiful golden hue, fine and soft to the touch, making it perfect for walking barefoot or for children to play building sandcastles.
