How to Get to Playa de Blanes

Getting to Playa de Blanes is relatively easy, making it a very accessible destination for both national and international visitors. We like to highlight Blanes' excellent connectivity, which greatly facilitates travel planning.

By Car

If you choose to drive, the main access route is the AP-7 motorway, taking exit 9 (Lloret de Mar/Blanes/Malgrat de Mar). From there, follow the signs to Blanes. Another option is the C-32 road, which also connects to the area. The journey from Barcelona usually takes about an hour or a little more, depending on traffic, and from Girona city, about 45 minutes. Once in Blanes, the main beach is easy to locate, as it is right in front of the promenade and the urban center. Regarding parking, Blanes has several paid parking areas, both underground and surface, especially near the port and the center. During the high season, finding a spot can be a challenge, so we always advise arriving early or considering public transport options.

By Train

Blanes has a train station that is part of the R1 line of Rodalies de Catalunya, connecting directly with Barcelona and other towns on the coast. If you come by train, once at Blanes station, you will need to take an urban bus (line L1 or L2) that will take you directly to the center and the beach in a few minutes. It is a comfortable and ecological option, ideal for avoiding parking stress.

By Bus

Several bus companies offer regular services to Blanes from Barcelona, Girona, and other nearby cities. The Blanes bus station is well connected, and from there you can reach the beach on foot or by urban bus without difficulty. It is a practical alternative if you don't want to worry about driving or parking.

We do not find large stones or pebbles in the main bathing area, making it a very comfortable and safe space. This uniformity of the sand, along with its cleanliness, is one of the reasons why the beach is so appreciated by visitors. The type of ground is predominantly sand, which guarantees a classic and pleasant beach experience.

Calm and Crystal Clear Waters

The waters of Playa de Blanes are generally calm and of surprising clarity, especially on windless days. They are usually shallow at the shore, making them ideal for bathing for children and the elderly. The water temperature is pleasant during the summer months, ranging between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius, inviting long dips and refreshing swims. The presence of the Blue Flag is a clear indicator of the excellent water quality and environmental management of the beach. We love diving in and observing the seabed, which, although not rich in reefs, gives us the sight of small fish and clean sand under our feet.
