Its waters, of an incredibly clear turquoise blue, caress fine, golden sand, framed by cliffs covered in pines that gently descend to the sea. It's a breathtaking landscape that promises a day of pure relaxation and contemplation. We feel fortunate to be able to enjoy a place with so much magic.

How to Get to Cala Boadella

Getting to Cala Boadella is part of the adventure and, at the same time, the secret to its charm and relative tranquility. It's not a beach with direct access, and this is precisely what protects it from the crowds. If we come by car from Lloret de Mar, we must head towards the Santa Clotilde area and the Santa Clotilde Gardens. There is a parking area, although it's paid and has limited spaces, especially during the high season. Our recommendation is to arrive early to secure a spot.

Once we've parked, the path to the cove becomes a pleasant walk. We'll leave the car and follow a dirt trail, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, that will guide us to the beach. This final stretch, which includes some stairs and a gentle slope, prepares us for the natural spectacle that awaits. It's an access route that, while not suitable for people with very limited mobility or strollers without assistance, helps maintain the intimate and exclusive atmosphere of the cove. The feeling of discovering this treasure step by step is unparalleled.

The Sand and the Water

The sand of Cala Boadella is, without a doubt, one of its greatest attractions. It's fine and soft sand, of a golden color that shines under the sun. Perfect for spreading out our towel and enjoying a day in the sun without worrying about annoying stones. We love the feeling of walking barefoot on it, feeling every grain under our feet.

But if the sand is a pleasure, the water is a true marvel. The waters of Cala Boadella are of a transparency and turquoise color that remind us of Caribbean beaches, but with the unmistakable charm of the Mediterranean. Their calm and clarity make it an ideal place for swimming, even for those who don't feel very comfortable in open waters. The temperature is usually pleasant, especially from late spring until well into autumn. The underwater visibility is exceptional, inviting us to explore its seabed.

Services and Facilities

Despite its more natural and semi-wild character, Cala Boadella does not lack the essential services that guarantee us a comfortable and safe stay. In the summer months, when attendance is highest, we find a lifeguard service that watches over our safety, something that always gives us great peace of mind. We also have showers to rinse off the salt and sand before leaving, and bathrooms/WCs that, although simple, are very much appreciated.

A small and charming chiringuito (beach bar) sets up in the cove during the high season, offering us cold drinks, ice creams, and some snacks. It's the perfect place to hydrate and enjoy an aperitif with sea views. Furthermore, we have the option to rent umbrellas and sun loungers, which allows us to enjoy the beach with greater comfort without having to carry all the equipment from home. The parking, as we already mentioned, is available, although with limited and paid spaces. We think these services are fair and necessary for a cove that seeks to maintain its natural essence without sacrificing functionality.

Best Time to Visit

Choosing the best time to visit Cala Boadella depends a lot on what we're looking for in our experience. We, as beach experts, always advise considering several factors:

• Spring (April-May) and early summer (June): For us, this is the ideal time if we're looking for absolute tranquility. The temperatures are mild, the water already invites a swim, and the cove is much less crowded. It's perfect for walks, reading, and long days of relaxation without crowds. Nature is at its peak and the flowers add a touch of color to the landscape.
• Summer (July-August): If we don't mind a few more people and want to enjoy all the services (chiringuito, lifeguard, sunbed rental), this is the high season. The atmosphere is livelier, although Cala Boadella always maintains a more serene air than other beaches in Lloret. Temperatures are high and the water is at its warmest, ideal for endless dips.
• Autumn (September-October): Another fantastic time to visit. The most intense heat begins to subside, but the water remains pleasant. The cove regains its quietness and the landscapes are tinged with ochre and golden tones. It's ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat before the arrival of winter. The sunsets during this time are especially beautiful.

Although Cala Boadella is a haven of peace, it doesn't mean there aren't activities to enjoy its charms. Its
