If we come by car, we should know that Donostia-San Sebastian is a city that highly values pedestrians and public transport, so parking can be a challenge, especially in high season. However, there are several very well-located underground car parks, such as La Concha, San Martin, or Buen Pastor, which leave us just steps from the sand. Our advice is to plan ahead or consider other options to avoid headaches.

Public transport is, without a doubt, one of the best alternatives. The urban bus network (DBus) of Donostia-San Sebastian is excellent, and many lines have stops very close to the beach or along the Paseo de La Concha. From the bus or train station (Estacion del Norte), we can take a bus that takes us directly to the center or, if we prefer, take a pleasant 15-20 minute walk, crossing the Urumea River and enjoying the city's architecture. For those staying in the center or nearby neighborhoods like Antiguo or Gros, walking is the simplest and most pleasant option, allowing us to soak up the city's atmosphere before setting foot on the sand.
