If we choose the car, the AP-7 motorway and the N-340 are the main access roads to Peñíscola from the north (Tarragona, Barcelona) or the south (Valencia, Alicante). Once in the municipality, signs to the port or the historic center will guide us directly to the beach area. Finding parking, especially in high season, can be a challenge, but there are several options. There are public parking areas, both paid and some free ones a bit further away, as well as the port parking, which usually has spaces available. Our recommendation is to arrive early if traveling in high season to secure a good spot.

On Foot from Peñíscola

For those already staying in Peñíscola or visiting the old town, getting to Playa Sur is a pleasant walk. From the castle walls or from any point in the center, we just need to descend towards the port.
