How to get to Playa de Islares

If we are coming from Bilbao or Santander, the A-8 motorway is our best ally. We will take exit 159 towards Islares/Oriñón. Once we leave the motorway, the signs to the beach are quite clear. The journey from Castro Urdiales town center is only about 10-15 minutes, making it a perfect half-day or full-day excursion if we are staying in the town.

Upon arriving in Islares, we will find parking areas close to the beach. It is important to consider that during the high season (summer), parking can be more difficult, so we always advise arriving early to secure a good spot.
