For us, one of the most comfortable and sustainable ways to get there is by train. The R1 line of Rodalies de Catalunya connects Barcelona (from stations like Plaça Catalunya or Arc de Triomf) directly with Arenys de Mar station. The journey is spectacular, running parallel to the sea for much of the route, offering unbeatable views. From the station, Playa del Picòrdia is just a few minutes' walk away, making it very accessible for everyone. Simply walk south, skirting the port, and you'll come across this beautiful beach.
