How to get to Playa de Morer

Getting to Playa de Morer is surprisingly simple, making it a very accessible destination for everyone. We, who value comfort, greatly appreciate the various transportation options available.

By train

One of the most comfortable and scenic ways to get there is by train. The R1 line of Rodalies de Catalunya connects Sant Pol de Mar directly with Barcelona (and other coastal towns). Sant Pol de Mar station is a short distance from the beach, about a 10-15 minute walk. The train journey is also a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the coastal views, a visual appetizer of what awaits us.

By car

If you prefer the flexibility of a car, the C-32 highway is the main route. Take the Sant Pol de Mar exit and, once in the town, follow the signs towards the coast. You'll find parking areas, both public and regulated (blue or green zone, especially in high season), although we recommend arriving early to secure a good spot. We always prefer to find a parking spot a little further away and enjoy a pleasant walk through the town before reaching the sand.

By bus

Several bus lines connect Sant Pol de Mar with other nearby towns, although frequency may vary depending on the time of year. If you're coming from neighboring municipalities, the bus can be a practical option. Check local schedules to plan your trip without setbacks.

The sand and the water

When we think of Playa de Morer, the first thing that comes to mind is the quality of its sand and the transparency of its waters. And they are, without a doubt, two of its main attractions, which distinguish it from many other beaches in Barcelona.

Fine golden sand

The sand at Playa de Morer is simply delightful. It's a pale golden color, soft to the touch and fine-grained, making it perfect for walking barefoot, building sandcastles with the little ones, or simply lying down to sunbathe. You won't find large pebbles or annoying rocks, just a natural carpet that invites relaxation and play. We love the feeling of the sand under our feet while we search for shells or simply let ourselves be carried away by the rhythm of the waves.

They are generally calm and have a gentle slope when entering, making them very safe for bathing, even for small children. We are always surprised by how clear they are, allowing us to easily see the seabed, an unmistakable sign of its excellent quality. • Blue Flag: As we've already mentioned, the presence of the Blue Flag is a seal of guarantee that assures us of water quality, beach cleanliness, and the existence of essential services. For us, it's a key factor when choosing a beach destination.
• Showers and Toilets/WC: After a refreshing dip in the sea, there's nothing like being able to wash off the salt and sand. Playa de Morer has public showers that allow us to freshen up before heading home. It also has clean and well-maintained toilets/WC, a fundamental service that is often missed at other beaches.
• Lifeguard Service: Safety is paramount, especially when traveling with children. During the bathing season, the beach has a lifeguard service that monitors bathers and is prepared to act in case of any eventuality. This gives us great peace of mind and allows us to relax knowing we're in good hands.
