How to Get to Playa de los Balmins

Getting to Playa de los Balmins is part of the experience, especially if we are coming from the center of Sitges. Its proximity to the urban center is one of its great advantages, allowing us comfortable and quick access.

On Foot from Sitges Center

For many, the best way to get there is simply by taking a pleasant walk. From the famous Sitges Promenade, we head north, passing the Aiguadolç marina. The journey is about 15 to 20 minutes on foot from the church of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla, enjoying the coastal views and the modernist architecture of Sitges' villas. It's a very scenic walk, ideal for whetting your appetite for the beach or for ending the day with a relaxing stroll. The directions are clear and the path is well signposted, so it's hard to get lost.

By Car

If we prefer the comfort of the car, Sitges is well connected by road. From Barcelona, we can take the C-32 motorway towards Tarragona, exiting at Sitges Norte. Once in Sitges, we follow the signs to the Aiguadolç port. Playa de los Balmins is located just before reaching the port. It is important to consider that parking in Sitges, especially in high season, can be a challenge. Near the beach and the Aiguadolç port, there are paid parking areas (blue zone or underground car parks). We always recommend arriving early to secure a good spot, or considering public transport options if we don't want to worry about the car.

Public Transport

Sitges has an excellent rail connection with Barcelona. From Barcelona Sants station, the Rodalies R2 Sud trains take us directly to Sitges station in approximately 35-45 minutes. Once at Sitges station, Playa de los Balmins is about a 25-30 minute walk, following the same path as if we were coming from the center. There are also options for urban bus or taxi from the train station if we prefer not to walk that much, although the walk is, as we've said, very pleasant.
