How to Get to Playa de las Anquines

Getting to Playa de las Anquines is relatively easy, and the transport options are varied, making it accessible to almost all visitors. Its privileged location, close to the center of Sitges but sufficiently removed to maintain its tranquility, is one of its great attractions.

By Car

If we choose the car, Playa de las Anquines is located at the southern end of Sitges. From Barcelona, the journey is approximately 40-50 minutes via the C-32, a toll highway that offers us panoramic views of the coastline. Once in Sitges, the beach is well signposted. The main problem can be parking, especially in high season. Although there are some regulated parking areas (blue zone) in the nearby streets, finding a free spot can be a challenge. Our advice is to arrive early in the morning or opt for one of the town's paid car parks and take a pleasant walk to the beach. This will allow us to enjoy the charm of Sitges before sinking our feet into the sand.

By Public Transport

Sitges is excellently connected by train to Barcelona. The R2 Sud line of Rodalies de Catalunya takes us to Sitges station in about 35-40 minutes from Sants Station. Once at Sitges station, Playa de las Anquines is a distance that can be covered with a pleasant 15-20 minute walk on foot, following the promenade south. We can also opt for an urban bus or a taxi from the station, which will drop us off practically on the sand. This option is ideal if we prefer to forget the stress of parking and enjoy the scenery from the train.

On Foot or by Bicycle

For those already in Sitges, the best way to get there is, without a doubt, on foot or by bicycle. The promenade that runs along the coast is a delight, offering spectacular views of the sea and the modernist houses of the city. It is a flat and accessible route, perfect for a relaxing stroll that prepares us for the beach day. Furthermore, it allows us to discover other corners of the Sitges beach along the way.
