How to Get to Playa de Es Carregador

Getting to Playa de Es Carregador is relatively easy, given its location in a well-developed tourist area. If we come by car, from Palma de Mallorca, the journey is approximately 20-25 minutes via the Ma-1 highway towards Andratx, taking the exit to Palmanova. Once in Palmanova, the signage to the beach is clear, and we will find various parking options, both paid and some free areas on adjacent streets, although the latter tend to fill up quickly in high season. Our recommendation is to arrive early if you travel in the summer months to secure a good spot.

For those who prefer public transport, the TIB (Transport de les Illes Balears) bus line connects Palma with Palmanova regularly. Lines 104 and 105 are the most common and have stops very close to the beach. It is a comfortable and economical option that allows you to enjoy the scenery without worrying about parking. Furthermore, if you are already staying in Palmanova or neighboring towns like Magaluf, the beach is perfectly accessible on foot or by bicycle, as it is integrated into the promenade that connects these towns. The ease of access is, without a doubt, one of the strong points of the Calvià beach.

The choice of the best time to visit Playa de Es Carregador depends a lot on what we are looking for in our experience. If our goal is to enjoy the sun and sea with the maximum services and a vibrant atmosphere, the months of July and August are ideal. During this period, the water temperature is the warmest, all the chiringuitos and water activities are in full operation, and the beach radiates a contagious energy. However, it is also when the influx of tourists is highest, and the beach can be quite crowded.
