How to get to Playa de El Toro

Getting to Playa de El Toro is surprisingly simple, which adds an extra point to its appeal. We always value ease of access, especially when travelling with family or with the intention of spending a full day of relaxation without complications. The beach is located in the southwest of Mallorca, very close to the town of El Toro and, as we've already mentioned, adjacent to the emblematic Port Adriano. Here we detail the best options to get there:

By private or rental car

This is, without a doubt, the most comfortable and flexible option for most of our visitors. From Palma de Mallorca, the journey is approximately 20-25 minutes (about 25 kilometres) via the Ma-1 motorway towards Andratx. You should take the exit towards El Toro/Port Adriano and follow the signs. The road infrastructure is excellent, ensuring a pleasant trip. Once in the area, you'll find:

• Parking: There are public parking areas around the beach and, of course, the spacious Port Adriano parking, which although it may be paid, offers great comfort and security. We recommend arriving early in high season to secure a good spot.

By public transport

If you prefer not to drive, public transport is a viable alternative. Several bus lines of the TIB network (Transport de les Illes Balears) connect El Toro and Port Adriano with other important towns in Calvià and with Palma. For example, line 104 is usually a good option from Palma or Santa Ponsa. We always advise checking updated timetables and routes on the TIB website, as frequency can vary.

By bicycle or on foot

For lovers of sport and nature, getting to Playa de El Toro by bicycle is a fantastic option. The predominant type of ground is, certainly, sand, which facilitates access to the sea and mobility across the entire beach area.

We would describe them as crystal-clear, of a turquoise blue that blends with the horizon, and most importantly: exceptionally calm. The beach is protected by the geography of the coast and the presence of the port, which minimises waves and creates a kind of perfect natural pool for bathing. The absence of strong currents and the shallow depth in its first few metres make it an ideal place for:

• Families with children: Parents can be at ease knowing their children are enjoying a safe swim.
• Swimming and relaxing: The warm, calm waters are perfect for swimming calmly, floating or simply cooling off without worries.
• Snorkelling: The clarity of the water allows you to observe the marine life on the bottom, although it's not an area with large reefs, there's always something interesting to discover near the side rocks.
