How to get to Cala Trebalúger

Don't expect to drive right up to the sand; here, the adventure begins with a good walk. We always recommend planning the route well and wearing comfortable shoes, as well as bringing enough water and provisions, since you won't find any services at the cove.

Walking route from Cala Galdana

The most popular option to reach Trebalúger is via the famous Camí de Cavalls. You can leave your car in the large parking lot at Cala Galdana. From there, take the trail heading east, following the signs for GR-223. The path is relatively easy, although with some ups and downs, and will take approximately 45-60 minutes of walking through a beautiful Mediterranean forest. You'll pass by Cala Mitjana (and its little sister, Mitjaneta) before reaching your destination. It's a scenic journey that prepares you for the wonder that awaits.

Another alternative is to park in the designated parking for Cala Mitjana, which is a bit closer to Trebalúger than Cala Galdana. From this parking lot, the walk to Cala Mitjana is about 15-20 minutes, and from there, continue along the Camí de Cavalls for another 20-30 minutes until you reach Cala Trebalúger. This option slightly reduces the total walking time, but it's still a considerable walk that requires good physical condition and preparation.

The sand and the water

The Cala Trebalúger beach is a spectacle for the senses, and much of its appeal lies in its natural elements. The sand is of an immaculate, fine whiteness, so soft that you'll want to walk barefoot on it. During these months, although it remains less crowded than other more accessible coves, the number of people is higher and the heat can make the walk more demanding.

• Late spring (May and early June): The weather is warm but not stifling, the water is starting to be delightful for swimming, and nature is in full bloom. Furthermore, the influx of tourists is notably lower, allowing you to enjoy the cove with almost exclusive tranquility.
