How to Get to Cala Santandría

Getting to Cala Santandría is really simple, which adds to its appeal, especially for families or those who prefer comfort. Given its proximity to Ciutadella, the connection is excellent.

If we're coming from Ciutadella, the drive takes just about 10 minutes. We simply need to take the Ronda Sur and follow the signs to the southern beaches, specifically towards Cala Santandría or Cala Blanca. The road is good and well signposted. For those without their own vehicle, there is a regular bus service connecting Ciutadella with Cala Santandría and other nearby coves during the high season, allowing us to forget about the car and enjoy the scenery.

Regarding parking, it's one of this beach's advantages. Around Cala Santandría, we can find several parking areas, both public and belonging to hotels and apartments. Although in the peak of August the influx is considerable and it might be a bit harder to find a spot right by the beach, there are always options within a short walking distance. We recommend arriving early during the busiest months to secure a good spot and start the beach day stress-free.

The Sand and Water

One of the aspects that most captivates us about Cala Santandría is, without a doubt, the quality of its sand and the clarity of its waters. The beach features fine, golden sand, very pleasant to the touch, perfect for building sandcastles or simply walking barefoot along the shore. This characteristic makes it an ideal place for the little ones, who can play with complete freedom and safety.

The waters of Cala Santandría are astonishingly clear, with hues ranging from turquoise to light blue, inviting us to dive in immediately. Being a sheltered cove, there is practically no surf, which guarantees a calm and safe swim.
