How to Get to Cala Sant Vicent

Getting to Cala Sant Vicent is part of the adventure and the charm that precedes the experience itself. We, accustomed to touring the island, always say the journey is as important as the destination. This cove is located in the far northeast of Ibiza, within the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja. The most common and scenic route is via the PM-811 road, which takes us from Sant Joan or from Sant Carles de Peralta. It's a journey of about 15-20 minutes from these points, and approximately 30-40 minutes from the city of Ibiza, depending on traffic.

The road descending to the cove is known for its sharp curves and impressive panoramic views, allowing us to admire the valley and the bay before arriving. It's important to drive carefully, but don't hesitate to stop at one of the viewpoints to capture the beauty of the landscape. Once at the cove, you'll find a fairly large parking area, which is a great advantage, especially in high season. Although it can fill up, the capacity is usually sufficient for the influx of visitors. There is also a bus service from the city of Ibiza and other key points on the island, making access easier for those who prefer not to drive. We always recommend renting a car for total freedom of movement and to explore the surroundings at our own pace, but public transport is an excellent alternative to reach this gem of the Balearic beaches.

The Sand and Water

The first impression upon stepping onto the sand of Cala Sant Vicent is one of pure pleasure. We are faced with a beach of fine, golden sand, incredibly soft to the touch, stretching for almost 400 meters. It's the kind of sand that slips between your toes and invites you to walk barefoot, build sandcastles with the kids, or simply lie down and feel its warmth under the Ibizan sun. The type of ground is predominantly sandy, making it very comfortable for walking and entering the sea.

But if the sand enchants us, the water captivates us completely. The waters of Cala Sant Vicent are exceptionally transparent, of an intense turquoise color that reminds us of Caribbean postcards. They are usually very calm, thanks to the protection provided by the cliffs of the bay, making it an ideal spot for swimming, even for the little ones or those who don't feel very confident in the sea. The entry slope is gentle, allowing children to play safely at the water's edge. We have spent hours here, simply floating and admiring the seabed, which, although not a paradise for deep diving, does offer the opportunity to snorkel and observe small fish near the rocks. It is, without a doubt, one of the greatest attractions of this Cala Sant Vicent beach and one of the reasons we consider it one of the best beaches in San Juan to enjoy the sea in its purest state.

One of the great advantages of Cala Sant Vicent is that, despite its natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere, it doesn't skimp on services and facilities to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay. We highly value a beach that combines wild beauty with necessary comforts, and this cove achieves it perfectly. Upon arrival, you'll find a large parking area that facilitates access, even in high season, although we always recommend arriving early to secure a good spot.
