How to Get to Playa de las Salinas

Getting to Playa de las Salinas is quite straightforward, given its excellent location in Roquetas de Mar. If we're coming from outside the province of Almería, the A-7 motorway is the main artery connecting us to the area. Once near the city of Almería, we'll take the exit towards Roquetas de Mar via the A-391 or A-1051, following the signs to the urban center. The beach is located in the easternmost part of Roquetas de Mar, bordering the Aguadulce area, and is easily accessible from any point in the municipality.

By Car

For those opting for a car, accessibility is fantastic. There are several free parking areas near the beach, as well as street parking on adjacent roads. Although in high season it can be a bit more challenging to find a spot right on the front line, there are always options a short distance away. We always recommend arriving early to secure a good spot, especially if you visit the beach in the middle of summer.

By Public Transport

If you prefer public transport, there are several urban bus lines connecting different points in Roquetas de Mar with the Playa de las Salinas area. Furthermore, from the city of Almería, there are regular intercity bus connections that will drop you in Roquetas de Mar, from where you can take a local bus or a taxi to the beach. It's a comfortable and sustainable option that many visitors choose.

The Sand and Water

The first thing that captivates us about Playa de las Salinas is its sand. It is predominantly fine, with a golden tone that shines under the sun, inviting barefoot walks or sandcastle building with the little ones. The texture is pleasant and stretches for over a kilometer, offering enough space for everyone to find their ideal spot without feeling crowded, even on the busiest days.

As for the water, it's one of its great attractions. The waters of Playa de las Salinas are generally calm and crystal clear, with a gentle swell that makes them perfect for swimming and for children to play in complete safety. The slope into the sea is gentle, which facilitates access and makes it an ideal place for people of all ages. The water temperature, especially in the summer months, is very pleasant, inviting long dips and refreshing moments under the Almerian sun. We really enjoy the feeling of its waters, which invite us to relax and forget about daily stress.

The presence of the Blue Flag is a clear indicator of the quality of its waters, its sand, and, of course, the excellence of its services. We feel very safe and cared for when visiting a beach with this distinction.

Among the services we can find, we highlight:

• Lifeguarding: During the high season, the beach has lifeguard posts and surveillance, ensuring the safety of bathers. It's an aspect we always greatly value.
• Showers and Toilets/WCs: Along the beach, there are points with showers to rinse off the sand and public toilets, maintained in good condition for everyone's comfort.
• Full Accessibility: The beach is adapted for people with reduced mobility, with access ramps, walkways to the shore, and, in many cases, amphibious chairs and assistance personnel during the summer months. It's a commitment to inclusion that we find exemplary.
• Sunbeds and Umbrellas: For those who prefer not to carry their own equipment, there are rental points for umbrellas and sunbeds, allowing us to enjoy the sun in total comfort.
• Chiringuitos and Restaurants: At the beachfront and on the promenade, we find an excellent offering of chiringuitos and restaurants where we can enjoy local cuisine, have a drink or an ice cream. The atmosphere is always very pleasant and invites us to extend the day.
• Children's Area: For the little ones, there are children's play areas on the sand, making Playa de las Salinas a paradise for families. Seeing the children enjoy themselves is one of the greatest rewards.
• Parking: As already mentioned, there are parking facilities nearby, which is always a plus.

Best Time to Visit

Although Playa de las Salinas is enjoyable for much of the year, we have our favorite times to visit it, depending on what we're looking for.
