This allows us to enjoy the cove with a tranquility and serenity that are hard to find in the middle of summer. We can stroll, swim, and relax without feeling crowded, and parking is much easier to find.

High Season: Vibrancy and Challenges

In high season (July and August), Playa de la Barraca (Portitxol) takes on a special vibrancy, but it also presents its challenges. The cove fills with life, with families, groups of friends, and tourists from all over. The atmosphere is lively and festive, but we must be prepared for scarce parking and the need to find our spot among the towels. If we decide to visit during these dates, our recommendation is to arrive very early in the morning (before 9:00 AM) or in the late afternoon to enjoy the sunsets, which are truly spectacular from here.
