If we come by car, the A-7 motorway will easily connect us to the area. Once in Guardamar, the beach is very accessible and well signposted from any point in the town. We usually find parking on the surrounding streets, although in high season it can be a bit more challenging and sometimes it's necessary to use paid parking areas or look a bit further from the seafront. However, the advantage is that Guardamar is a town that invites walking, and from most accommodations, you can reach it on foot in just a few minutes.

For those who prefer public transport, Guardamar del Segura has several bus lines connecting to nearby cities like Torrevieja, Elche, or Alicante. The bus station is a comfortable distance from the beach, allowing easy access for visitors not traveling by private vehicle. Furthermore, the proximity to the urban center means that taxis and ride-hailing services are always available. The chiringuitos (beach bars) are another strong point; we love them for having a refreshment, an ice cream, or even enjoying a snack with sea views. Furthermore, full accessibility is a reality here, with wooden walkways reaching the sand and adapted bathing points for people with reduced mobility, demonstrating a real commitment to inclusion. And for the little ones, a children's play area in the sand ensures hours of fun, while we can relax nearby.

Best Time to Visit

From our perspective, Playa de Centro in Guardamar del Segura is an attractive destination for much of the year, although some seasons stand out for their particularities. The high season, covering the months of July and August, is when the beach buzzes with activity. The sun is radiant, the water is perfect for swimming, and all services are in full operation. It's ideal if we're looking for a lively atmosphere, with people, music at the chiringuitos, and the typical energy of the Mediterranean summer. However, it's also the busiest time, and parking can be a challenge.

If we prefer a quieter experience, but with good weather, the months of June and September are, in our opinion, the best option. The temperatures are still very pleasant, the water maintains an ideal temperature for swimming, and the crowds are smaller, allowing us to enjoy the beach with more space and serenity.
