During the busiest months (mainly July and August), car access to the cove is usually restricted to avoid overcrowding. In these cases, a shuttle bus service is provided to take us from the upper parking lot to the shore, a measure that undoubtedly helps preserve the beauty of the surroundings. If we prefer to walk, the descent takes about 15-20 minutes, and the reward upon arrival is unmatched. It's important to remember that the climb back up can be a bit demanding, but the exercise is worth it.

The sand and the water

When we talk about Cala del Moraig, we must clarify that you won't find the typical fine sand. This cove is characterized by its pebbles, rounded stones of various sizes that cover the entire shore. At first, walking on them may feel a bit peculiar, but you get used to it quickly, and in fact, many consider it a natural foot massage. We always think that every season has its charm, but for Cala del Moraig, there are moments that shine with their own light. If we want to enjoy the cove in all its splendor, with good weather and the possibility of swimming, but without the crowds of peak summer, we have our favorite times.

Spring and early summer

The months of May, June, and early July are ideal. The weather is mild, the sun is already warm enough for a refreshing swim, and the cove is not as crowded as in August. We can find parking more easily and enjoy the tranquility that this cove can offer.

Late summer and autumn

September and October are also excellent options. The water temperatures are still very pleasant, the sun still shines strongly during the day, and the number of visitors decreases considerably. It's the perfect time for those seeking a more relaxed atmosphere, ideal for snorkeling or simply reading a book in the sun. We would avoid the month of August if our priority is tranquility, as that is when the beach of Benitachell receives the highest number of visitors.

• Moraira: A charming fishing village a few minutes away by car. Its castle, its marina, and its pedestrian streets full of shops and restaurants make it ideal for an evening stroll.
• Jávea (Xàbia): Further north, Jávea offers us a perfect mix of beaches (El Arenal, La Granadella), a historic old town with lots of personality, and the imposing Montgó Natural Park, ideal for hiking.
